Cosmosmocreole is excited about the release of ‘Mon Loreye’ from the Seychellois international award-winning musician Grace Barbe and fellow Seychellois artist and gifted vocalist Antoinette Dodin. Grace stated that they came together “to record a Kreol classic in homage to its composer, Marie-Cecile Medor, a seminal Seychellois artist who greatly influences us both”. The original version of ‘Mon Loreye'(My Pillow) is a much love ballad by Seychellois, originally recorded with only an acoustic guitar. However, Grace and Antoinette wanted to put their own spin on the track, turning it into an early 70’s style reggae track.

The new sound has been produced by Grace’s long time UK collaborator, Jamie Searle. The two talented Seychellois artists and vocalists are accompanied on the track by the Crucial Rockers, a Reggae band from Freemantle, Australia, of which Grace is also a member, featuring Seychellois Jacques Letourdie on the keyboard, Rodrigue’s islander Hardy Perrine on drums and Jeremy Trezona on tenor sax. Grace believes that the song ‘Mon Loreye’ will be enjoyed by all reggae lovers far and wide. “We’ve waited two years to make this project a reality,” said Grace.

‘Mon Loreye’ was released through www.afrotropik.net and can be streamed on all digital platforms including apple music and Spotify.
