Sharon Okai is a familiar face in the Seychelles Modeling circle. The talented fashion photographer has worked with many Seychellois models. Cosmocreole was intrigued to find out more about the lady behind the lens, showcasing the beauty of the Seychellois models.
Sharon Okai (Sharon O Photography) is a young award-winning photographer from Ghana who was inspired to pursue a career in photography after watching ‘America’s Next Top Model.’ Sharon was fascinated by the creativity of the photographers. “I loved how the pictures came out. So I keep telling myself it is either I’m taking pictures like that as the model, or I am taking pictures of people like that.” Her next move- bought herself her first camera, quit her job, and began a career in photography. Her family and friends didn’t support her career choice at first, but Sharon was convinced that she could make a living doing what she loved. Her work alone has showcased many models in Africa, including Seychelles. Her work has won multiple awards.
