One whole year of Cosmocreole! And here I am reflecting on the first anniversary since we launched. I have always believed that connecting with moments, stories, and people can inspire us to live more positively. Through the stories we’ve shared, we’ve learnt that togetherness is not about taking the same physical space—it’s about uplifting each other wholeheartedly, regardless of where we are in the world. I have been amazed and continue to do so about how many women in Seychelles and around the globe have embraced this idea of having a digital platform to connect and celebrate how amazing, strong and talented Seychellois women are.
Creating this online platform has brought me so much fulfilment. And like I’ve said before, the women I’ve worked with have inspired me greatly—all Seychellois and from all corners of the world. The fact you took time to read and engage with us makes you part of the Cosmocreole community. You, as the readers, are the ultimate reason I put in so many hours of hard work. It’s been a challenge; there have been many bumps in the road, but we made it to a milestone birthday! This is your online space, too, so whoever and whatever brought you to us, I hope Cosmocreole has been a positive addition to your life.
I couldn’t have pulled this off without the help of the other contributors, so a big thank you to them. We have great plans for this space, and with your support, we can make Cosmocreole even better than it is now. Again, I want to say thank you for being part of Cosmocreole’s journey so far.
