March the 8th marks International Women’s Day, we celebrate all of the achievements of us—women. It’s the day we spread the word with intensity, far and wide about the importance and success of women in today’s society.
The day is about empowerment, so get the message out there, and feel part of the collective movement. Have a voice to say that we are important. Make meaningful pledges on professional opportunities for women and support female entrepreneurs and creatives—one of the fundamentals for the creation of Cosmocreole.
Use the day to celebrate the women you know and admire, champion female talent today and throughout the year. Last but not least, look into the issues women are facing today and strive for a change. Start at home, wherever home is for you, always be the force and challenge any unfairness against women.
I started Cosmocreole to give Seychellois women a platform to share their stories, connect with others and inspire each other. I am forever grateful I did what my heart yearned because on this journey I have met (in person and virtually) some amazing, talented and inspirational Seychellois women around the world, and that has been a real blessing.
